APPLICATIONS DUE BY JANUARY 31st

Do you know a graduate student who could benefit from a $25,000 Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship? Rotary Clubs are accepting applications until January 31. Applicants should be graduate students planning to study in the U.S. or abroad during the 2018-19 academic year.

Applicants must be able to:
* Complete a course of study at an institution of higher education and serve effectively as an ambassador of goodwill
* Show a strong record of success in his/her academic field
* Demonstrate fluency in the language of the country of study
* Articulate a convincing understanding of Rotary's mission and goals
* Possess well-developed communication skills
* Produce evidence demonstrating a personal commitment to community service
* Articulate well-defined and realistic study and career goals
* Explain in concrete terms how he/she will make advances within his/her chosen field
* Show promise of maintaining a lifelong relationship with Rotary after the scholarship period

Preference is given to applicants with fields of study related to one of the areas of humanitarian need listed below:
* Peace and conflict prevention and/or resolution
* Disease prevention and treatment
* Water and sanitation
* Maternal and child health
* Basic education and literacy
* Economic and community development
