Pianos for People

Pianos for People:  In December of 2012, Pianos for People began delivering free, quality pianos to people who could not afford one on their own. In the short time they have been operating, they have obtained, serviced, and delivered over 150 pianos to people and community organizations all over the St. Louis metropolitan area. In the fall of 2014 they opened a free music school on Cherokee Street in South St. Louis, where they provide free piano lessons to more than eighty students, of all ages. Since opening the school, their work has further expanded beyond free pianos and free piano lessons to piano camps and special community- building events, which bring people from various backgrounds together around the piano. To date, they have served over 3,400 people.
