Webster University President Tim Keane joined Webster Groves Rotary in April 2026 for a conversation about the university and its place in the community. The program drew a record-setting club audience.
A community institution in conversation
Friday programs give members a chance to hear directly from the people leading schools, nonprofits, public agencies, and local businesses. Keane’s visit brought one of Webster Groves’ most visible institutions into that exchange and gave members time for candid questions and discussion.
The strong attendance reflected the relationship between the university and the broader Webster Groves community. It also showed why a club program can be more than a speech: the room becomes a place where neighbors learn what is changing and consider how local institutions can work together.
